Huge demand for Teddy Bears on Sunday

The Calgary Hitmen will host the Medicine Hat Tigers this Sunday (December 4th) in the 17th annual Petro-Canada Teddy Bear Toss.  Game time is 4:00 p.m. at Scotiabank Saddledome.  Fans are asked to bring a stuffed toy to the game and toss it on the ice when the Hitmen score their first goal.  The bears will then be distributed to local charities in time for the holiday season.  So far there's been a request for 25,000 stuffed toys.  The game is NOT sold out and there are lots of great seats available.

I spoke to Hitmen Coordindator of Marketing and Community Programs Derald Fretts about the demand and the day itself.
