The Calgary Hitmen (10-10-1-1) open a five game road trip tonight in Brandon against the Wheat Kings (16-7-1-1). The Hitmen are coming off Sunday's 6-5 home ice loss to Saskatoon while Brandon overcame a 6-3 third period deficit on the road Sunday to beat Moose Jaw 7-6 in OT.
Tonight marks the second of four meetings this season between the two clubs. On November 4th the Hitmen fell 5-2 in Brandon. The line of Brendan Walker (2g 2a), Mark Stone (1g 2a) and Michael Ferlund (2g 3a) combined for 11 points.
This morning after breakfast I caught up with Hitmen forward Trevor Cheek who has five points in his last three games (2g 3a). Listen here.
