Moose Jaw 3 Calgary 2 OT

Moose Jaw, SK – Quinton Howden scored a powerplay goal 1:22 into overtime lifting the Moose Jaw Warriors to a 3-2 win over the Calgary Hitmen Sunday night.

The Hitmen got on the board first jumping out to a 2-0 lead just over 13 minutes into the first period on goals from Jaynen Rissling and Brady Brassart.

Moose Jaw drew even before the end of twenty minutes on goals from Cody Beach and Sam Fioretti.

The two teams then played scoreless second and third periods leading to Howden’s overtime heroics.

Calgary outshot the Warriors 35-29.

The Hitmen are now 2-2-1-0 on their current six game tour of the East Division.  They wrap up the road trip Tuesday night in Swift Current.

-Brady Brassart had a glorious chance for an empty net backhand goal, but Warriors defenceman Morgan Rielly tied up his stick on a great defensive play

2nd period:
-The games lone scrap saw the Hitmen's Rob Trzonkowski drop the gloves with Jordan Wyton

-Brooks Macek hit a goal post for Calgary while Moose Jaw hit a couple posts.
