Moose Jaw, SK – Cody Sylvester scored twice and set up another leading the Calgary Hitmen to a 5-2 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors Wednesday night at Mosaic Place.
Victor Rask, Danny Gayle and Alex Gogolev also scored for the Hitmen who built period leads of 1-0 and 4-0.
Quinton Howden and Justin Kirsch scored back-to-back goals for Moose Jaw in the opening 11 minutes of the third period to pull the Warriors within a pair of goals, but any thoughts of a comeback were wiped out when Sylvester scored into an empty net.
Brandon Glover had another strong performance in the Hitmen goal, extending his personal winning streak to five games making 30 saves against his former team.
Calgary, 6-2-1-0 in their last nine games is now 12-10-1-1 on the season
The Hitmen will use tomorrow as a travel day before visiting Saskatoon Friday and Prince Albert Saturday.
Calgary returns to Scotiabank Saddledome on Friday, December 2, when they host the Spokane Chiefs.
