Regina, SK – Victor Rask scored a pair of goals, including the game winner in the third period, to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 3-2 win in Regina over the Pats Saturday night.
The Rask winner was on a puck dumped into the Regina zone from outside the blueline that went off the heal of goaltender Matt Hewitt's stick and in.
Brandon Glover making his first start in 10 games made 26 saves in the Hitmen net, including 14 in the first period, in a first star performance.
The Pats raced out of the gates building a 15-1 lead on the shot clock just 14 minutes into the game. They also had a first period goal disallowed.
Danny Gayle also scored for Calgary who is now 2-2 on their current six game East Division road trip.
Jaynen Rissling chipped in a pair of assists for the Hitmen who trailed 1-0 after the first period but headed to the third tied 2-2.
Calgary, 7-8-0-1 on the season, plays their third games in as many nights Sunday in Moose Jaw before heading to Swift Current Tuesday.
