Saskatoon at Calgary

The Calgary Hitmen (10-9-1-1) wrap up a four game home stand this afternoon when they host the Saskatoon Blades (16-6-0-1).  The Hitmen have won two straight and are coming off last night's 7-1 win over the Prince Albert Raiders.  The Blades meanwhile are ranked #6 in the Canadian Hockey League and have won six in a row.  They posted a 2-1 win in Red Deer last night. 

The Blades lead the Eastern Conference with 33 points, while the Hitmen are 10th with 22 points.  However Calgary has anywhere from one to three games in hand on all teams above them in the standings.

It's the second of four meetings this season between the Hitmen and Blades.  Saskatoon won the first 4-1 at Credit Union Centre on November 2nd.  Goaltender Andrey Makarov made 39 saves in the win.

Calgary is 5-4-1-1 on home ice while the Blades are 7-6-0-1 on the road.

STREAKIN:  For the Hitmen Danny Gayle is on a three game point streak (2g 4a) meanwhile Spencer Humphries (1g 2a), Brooks Macek (2a), Jimmy Bubnick (2g 2a), Cody Sylvester (2a), Collin Bowman (3g 1a) and Trevor Cheek (2g) all have points in back-to-back games.  For Saskatoon goaltender Andrey Makarov has won his last five starts.  Jesse Paradis (2a) and Lukas Sutter (1g 1a) are on two game point streaks.
