Lucas Sutter's second goal of the game broke a 5-5 third period tie lifting the Saskatoon Blades to a 6-5 win Sunday afternoon over the Calgary Hitmen at Scotiabank Saddledome.
The Blades have now won seven in a row, improving to 2-0 against the Hitmen this season.
Calgary, who held leads of 2-1, 3-2, 4-3 and 5-4, fired 46 shots in the loss. Cody Sylvester led the Hitmen scoring attack with a pair of goals while Joey Kornelsen, Jimmy Bubnick and Spencer Humphries added singles. Both Sylvester (2g 1a) and Bubnick (1g 2a) finished the day with three points each.
Calgary, 10-10-1-1, will open a five game road trip Tuesday night in Brandon.
