The four Western Provincial Hockey Associations – Hockey Alberta, BC Hockey, Hockey Manitoba and the Saskatchewan Hockey Association – in partnership with the Western Hockey League (WHL) announced today the players and coaching staff competing in the 2011 Western Canada Under 16 Challenge Cup.
The following three Hitmen prospects have been named to the tournament:
Team BC
Jake Virtanen, Fraser Valley Bruins (BCMML)
Josh Thrower, North West Giants (BCMML)
Team Saskatchewan
Brayden Oleksyn, Beardy’s Blackhawks (Midget AAA)
The Western Canada Under 16 Challenge Cup will be held at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw, SK, October 27 – 30,
