Red Deer at Calgary

The Calgary Hitmen (1-2) are back on 'Dome ice tonight to host the Red Deer Rebels (2-2).  Game time is 7pm.  For the Hitmen who have spent plenty of time on the practice ice I'm sure tonight is a welcome change as it's just their fourth game through the first 14 days of the season.  The Hitmen are coming off Sunday's 4-2 home ice win over Kootenay while the Rebels were beaten 7-2 in Prince Albert on Saturday.  Can't make the game?  Radio Broadcast on Sportsnet 960-The Fan starts at 7pm MST.

VS RED DEER:  Tonight is the first of six meetings with the Rebels.  Last season Red Deer won the season series taking five of six meetings.  The Hitmen and Rebels won’t meet again until Sunday, January 22nd in Calgary.

STREAKS:  Jaynen Rissling (2a), Brooks Macek (1g 1a), Victor Rask (2g 2a) and Brady Brassart (3a) all have points in back-to-back games.  Cody Sylvester is a combined +4 in his last two games while Victor Rask is +3 over that same span.  Justin Kirsch (2g 1a) and Alex Gogolev (2g 1a) both had their two game streaks snapped in Sunday’s home opener.

CARRYING THE PLAY:  The Hitmen have out shot their opponents in all three games and in six of their nine periods this season.

AUTOGRAPH SESSION:  Following every home game this season a Hitmen player will be signing autographs at the Booster Club table located behind section 211.  Signing following tonight’s game is forward Jimmy Bubnick.
