Kootenay Ice at Calgary Hitmen - October 2, 2011

The Calgary Hitmen are in Scotiabank Saddledome today for the Adrenalin Source for Sports Home Opener.  Game time is 2:00pm against the Kootenay Ice.  The Hitmen have started the season 0-2 despite outshooting their opponents in both games by a combined 77-55. 

Kootenay meanwhile owns a record of 3-0.  Buffalo Sabres prospect Nathan Lieuwen has been a rock in the Ice net posting a WHL best .97 goals against average while Calgary Flames draft pick Joey Leach leads Kootenay with six points.  The defenceman has 1g 5a. 

A reminder it's the annual Hitmen game worn jersey auction today.  All white jerseys from the 2010-11 season are up for bid on the concourse by section 226.  Net proceeds go to the Hitmen Education Fund.  Here is the complete list of jerseys in the silent auction.
