Kootenay at Calgary

The Calgary Hitmen (4-4-0-1) are back in Scotiabank Saddledome this evening to host the Kootenay Ice (8-3-0-2).  Game time is 4pm.  The Hitmen have won a season high three in a row and are coming off Thursday's 3-1 win in Regina.  The Ice meanwhile were 2-1 winners at home last night against the Moose Jaw Warriors.

SEASON SERIES:  The two teams have met twice this season with the home team winning both.
-Sept. 24 in Cranbrook: Ice 5 Hitmen 1.  Ice goalie Nathan Lieuwen made 29 saves in a first star performance.
-Oct. 2 in Calgary: Hitmen 4 Ice 2.  Danny Gayle and Victor Rask each had 1g 1a for Calgary.

DID YOU KNOW?  The Ice have played four more games than the Hitmen this season....Kootenay is 2-2-0-2 on the road while the Hitmen are 2-1-0-1 at home....The Ice have given up an average of two goals per game this season while Calgary has scored a combined 15 goals during their current three game winning streak.

ABORIGINAL NIGHT:  Today's game will celebrate the Aboriginal culture.  With representation from the Blood Tribe, Siksika Nation, Tsuu T'ina Nation and Piikani Nation, fans will experience a traditional Drum Group and Aboriginal Dance during the game.

PINK HELMETS:  The Hitmen will wear pink helmets during warm-ups today.  They are among the items up for bid in the Hockey Mums Fight Breast Cancer Fundraiser.  Find the online auction here!
