The Calgary Hitmen (17-13-2-1) play their final home game of 2011 tonight as they host the Regina Pats (17-14-2-1). The game has been moved back an hour from it's original schedule to 8:00 p.m. at Scotiabank Saddledome. However doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with fans encouraged to come early to watch the Calgary Flames at Florida Panthers game on the Energy Board prior to puck drop. Also bring your signs as tonight's game is televised on Rogers Sportsnet West, Pacific and ONE as part of Friday Night Hockey. The Hitmen and Pats broadcast will be joined in progress following the Flames game. Tonight is Student Night. Show your student I-D at the Scotiabank Saddledome main ticket office to receive a special ticket rate of $8. Ticketmaster fees may apply.

Both the Hitmen and Pats are coming off overtime losses on Wednesday night. Calgary fell 6-5 in Lethbridge wile Regina dropped a 3-2 home ice decision to Kelowna.
There's also not much to pick between the two in the overall WHL Standings as the Hitmen and Pats are tied for seventh in the Eastern Conference with 37 points.
Tonight is their fourth and final regular season meeting. The Hitmen are 2-0-0-1 in the season series, led by Victor Rask (2g 2a) and Books Macek (1g 3a) who both have four points. Jodan Weal (2g 2a) has four points to top the Pats.

STREAKIN': Five Hitmen take points streaks into tonight: Victor Rask (4a) and Collin Bowman (1g 2a) both have points in three straight (1g 2a) while Trevor Cheek (2g 2a), Brady Brassart (3g 1a) and Alex Gogolev (1g 1a) all have points in back-to-back games. For Regina Jodan Weal (3g 2a) and Dominik Volek (2a) both have points in two straight. Weal has been a model of consistency for the Pats with at least a point in 28 of their 34 games this season. He is currently eighth in the WHL scoring race.
DID YOU KNOW? The Hitmen are 13-3-1-1 against teams from the East Division....Calgary has fired a season high 47 shots twice but have lost both games...Tonight's game is the ninth game in 15 nights for the Pats.
CHL TOP PROSPECTS: Invites went out yesterday for the 2012 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. Two members of the Pats will play in the game February 1st in Kelowna...Dominik Volek and Chandler Stephenson.
