Edmonton 6 Calgary 2

Edmonton, AB – The Edmonton Oil Kings scored three powerplay goals en-route to a 6-2 win over the Calgary Hitmen Tuesday night at Rexall Place.

Griffin Reinhart had a goal and two assists for the Oil Kings who extend their home ice winning streak to 11 games and move into a tie with the Kootenay Ice for top spot in the Eastern Conference.

Trevor Cheek with his ninth goal of the season and Spencer Humphries with his fifth provided the Calgary goals.

Calgary Flames prospect Laurent Brossoit made 26 saves in the Edmonton net as the Hitmen out shot the Oil Kings 28-23

The loss drops the Hitmen record to 15-13-1-1.  They remain tied for seventh in the Eastern Conference with Regina.

Calgary returns to action Friday night at Scotiabank Saddledome to host the Prince Albert Raiders in Subway Soccer Day. 

Fans can participate in the Subway Soccer Ball Toss by purchasing one ball for $5 or five balls for $20 for a chance to win two $1,000 Berry Flooring packages; a $1,000 flight credit; or two $500 Husky gas packages.  Proceeds from the toss are directed to Fields for Life, providing kids with the opportunity to play soccer in Calgary and improving local playing field.  Friday is also Student Night.  Show your student I.D. to receive a special ticket rate of $8.

The Hitmen will wrap up the weekend Sunday by the Brandon Wheat Kings.  Game time is 2:00 p.m.
