Lethbridge 6 Calgary 5 OT

Lethbridge, AB – Graham Hood scored his second goal of the game just 21 seconds into overtime lifting the Lethbridge Hurricanes to a 6-5 win over the Calgary Hitmen Wednesday night at Enmax Centre.

The Hitmen had erased a 4-2 third period deficit to pull ahead 5-4 in the final five minutes before Cam Braes forced sudden death for Lethbridge scoring with 25 seconds left to complete his hat trick.

Brady Brassart scored a pair of goals for Calgary while Jimmy Bubnick, Kenton Helgesen and Cody Sylvester added singles.  Victor Rask and Trevor Cheek both chipped in three assists.

Hurricanes goaltender Damien Ketlo made 42 saves as the Hitmen tied a season high with 47 shots on goal.

Calgary, 17-13-2-1 on the season, returns to Scotiabank Saddledome Friday to host the Regina Pats in their final home game before the Christmas Break.  The game was originally scheduled for 7:00 pm but is now an 8:00 pm start.

The Hitmen and Pats are currently tied for seventh spot in the Eastern Conference with 37 points.
