Brandon at Calgary

The Calgary Hitmen (16-13-1-1) welcome the Brandon Wheat Kings (19-12-1-1) in a Sunday matinee at Scotiabank Saddledome.  Game time is 2:00 p.m.  Kids 12 and under get in for just $5 today!  The Hitmen are coming off Friday's 5-4 shootout win over the Prince Albert Raiders while the Wheat Kings were 5-3 winners in Brandon on Friday.

Today is the third of four regular season meetings between the Hitmen and Wheat Kings.  The season series is tied 1-1 with the first two games in Brandon.  Alex Roach (1g 2a) and Cody Sylvester (1g 2a) both have three points each to lead the Hitmen against Brandon while Brendan Walker (2gf 3a) leads the Wheat Kings against Calgary with five points.

-Nov 22 in Brandon:  Hitmen 6 Wheat Kings 3.  Alex Gogolev scored twice for Calgary while Cody Sylvester had three points (1g2a)

Calgary, 7-6-0-1 on home ice, is tied with Regina for seventh in the Eastern Conference with 34 points.  Brandon, 10-7-0-0 on the road, is tied with Medicine Hat for fifth in the Eastern Conference with 40 points.

WORLD JUNIOR IMPACT:  The Wheat Kings will be without their top two scorers Mark Stone and Michael Ferland who are both attending Canada's World Junior Selection Camp.

DID YOU KNOW?  Brandon has the number one powerplay in the WHL operating at 30.2 percent.  Hitmen top scorer Cody Sylvester has four assists in his last two games.  Collin Bowman led the Hitmen with five shots on goal in Friday's win over PA.  Calgary is 12-3-1-1 against teams from the East Division.
