Despite a frantic push by the Hitmen in the final four minutes to cut a 3-0 deficit to 3-2, Calgary could get no closer in a 4-2 home ice loss to Edmonton Saturday night at Scotiabank Saddledome.
Dylan Wruck sealed the victory for the defending WHL Champion Oil Kings scoring into an empty net.
That goal also put the cap on a home-and-home split between the top two teams in the Central Division with the road team winning both contests.
