Moose Jaw at Calgary

The Calgary Hitmen (22-16-2-1) put a season high five game winning streak on the line tonight as they host the Moose Jaw Warriors (25-14-4-1).  Game time is 7:00 p.m. at Scotiabank Saddledome.  Both teams enter play off healthy breaks.  The Hitmen haven't played since Sunday's 6-3 come from behind win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes while Moose Jaw has been idle since Saturday's 3-2 victory in Kootenay.

The Hitmen enter play with 47 points to sit seventh in the Eastern Conference, one point up on Brandon and two points back of Saskatoon for sixth.  Moose Jaw has 55 points to sit second in the conference, a point ahead of Kootenay, but six points back of Edmonton for top spot.

Calgary and Moose Jaw have met twice this season with both meetings in Saskatchewan.  Cody Sylvester leads the Hitmen with three points (2g 1a) in the season series, while Canadian World Junior Quinton Howden tops Moose Jaw with four points (2g 2a).
-Nov. 6 in MJ: Warriors 3 Hitmen 2 OT.  The Warriors overcame a 2-0 first period deficit with Quinton Howden scoring the winner 1:22 into sudden death.

DRIVE FOR FIVE:  During the Hitmen's current season high five game winning streak they have outscored their opponents by a combined 29-14 while also holding a 177-133 shot clock advantage.  In that span Calgary has gone 8-29 on the powerplay (27.5%) while killing 20 of 25 (80%) opposition chances.

STREAKIN':  Seven Hitmen take point scoring streaks into tonight's game.  Brooks Macek (4g 4a), Alex Gogolev (3g 3a) and Victor Rask (2g 4a) are all riding five game runs.  Brady Bassart (3g 2a) and Chase Clayton (5g) have points in three straight while Danny Gayle (1g 4a) and Jaynen Rissling (1g 1a) have points in back-to-back games.  Alex Roach is a combined +7 during his last five games.  Goaltender Brandon Glover has won his last three starts, while Chris Driedger has won two straight.

FORMER TEAMMATES SQUARE OFF:  The Calgary roster features four former Moose Jaw Warriors: Collin Bowman, Danny Gayle, Brandon Glover and Joey Kornelsen.  Meanwhile Moose Jaw has three former Hitmen: Cody Beach, Justin Kirsch and Kenton Miller.

MILLER TIME:  Former Hitmen Kenton Miller is riding a two game point streak (1g 2a).  He also has a combine six goals in his last 10 games.

HOME AND AWAY:  Calgary is 9-7-0-1 on home ice, while Moose Jaw is 8-9-2-0 on the road.
