I did some digging this morning and discovered the Hitmen set a franchise record in Friday's 5-2 home ice win over Moose Jaw.
Not a single powerplay chance was awarded to Calgary that night, setting a new franchise record for fewest powerplay chances in a single game.
On 13 previous occasions in the 17 year history of the Hitmen, Calgary was awarded just one powerplay chance. The last occurred on March 8, 2011 in Medicine Hat.
But never before had Calgary's powerplay unit not stepped on the ice until Friday night against the Warriors.
