Calgary 6 Lethbridge 3

The Calgary Hitmen extended their season high winning streak to five games with a 6-3 home ice victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes Sunday afternoon at Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Hitmen scored six unanswered goals erasing a 3-0 second period deficit.

Brady Brassart and Brooks Macek led the Calgary scoring attack with three points each.  Brassart had two goals and an assist while Macek had a goal and two assists.

Victor Rask, in his first game back since winning a Gold Medal for Team Sweden at the 2012 World Junior Hockey Championship, Chase Clayton and Jimmy Bubnick also scored for the Hitmen who trailed 3-2 after forty minutes.

Brock Sutherland chipped in a pair of assists for Calgary who tied a season high with 47 shots on goal, including 19 in the third period.

Brandon Glover made 21 saves in the Hitmen net to pick up his 11th win of the season.

Calgary, now 22-16-2-1 on the season, pulls into a tie with the Saskatoon Blades for sixth in the WHL Eastern Conference with 47 points.

The Hitmen will wrap up this three game home stand next weekend hosting Canadian World Junior Quinton Howden and the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. before welcoming Calgary Flames prospect Laurent Brossoit and the Edmonton Oil Kings Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
