Michael Stone has become the 37th Calgary Hitmen grad to play at least one game in the National Hockey League. The 21-year-old made his NHL debut Saturday night in the Phoenix Coyotes 2-1 overtime win over the Dallas Stars. Wearing number 26, Stone played 11 minutes and 31 seconds on the Coyotes defence and was held off the score sheet.

Stone played four seasons with the Hitmen from 2006-07 to 2009-10 scoring a career high 21 goals in his final season and winning a WHL Championship. In that final season the hard shooting rearguard was also named the club's top defenceman and was a WHL First Team Eastern Conference All-Star.
