The Calgary Hitmen open a regular season ending home and home series with the Kootenay Ice tonight in Cranbrook.
The Ice will be handing out their awards in a pre-game ceremony pushing puck drop back to around 7:25 p.m. Internet Broadcast on www.sportsnet.ca/960 will begin following the awards presentation.
Calgary enters the contest having won five in a row to climb to 95 points. The Ice have dropped four of their last five games. Having already clinched a playoff spot Kootenay is eighth in the conference with 70 points.
Tonight will be the sixth of eight regular season meetings between the two clubs with the season series tied 3-3. After winning three of the first four meetings, the Hitmen have dropped the last two meetings.
