Calgary 4 Regina 1

The Calgary Hitmen opened a three game East Division road trip with a 4-1 win over the Regina Pats Friday night at the Brandt Centre.

Carson Samoridny opened the scoring for Calgary who built a 1-0 first period lead.
Spencer Humphries extended the lead to 2-0 in the second period, scoring the eventual game winner on the powerplay.

The Pats then cut the lead in half when Kade Pilton put the home team on the board before the end of the middle frame.

In the third period the Pats had a pair of powerplay chances to pull even but the Hitmen were able to kill them off finishing 4-4 on the penalty kill.
