Justin Paulic made 41 saves in the Moose Jaw net helping the Warriors snap Calgary’s 13 game point streak. The Hitmen had gone 12-0-1-0 dating back to their February 5th win in Victoria.
Jack Rodewald also had four points for Moose Jaw with a goal and three assists while Tanner Eberle and Jesse Forsberg also scored.
Joe Mahon, with his ninth of the season, had the lone goal for Calgary who trailed 2-0 after the first period and 4-1 after 40 minutes.
Brady Brassart was held off the scoresheet for Calgary ending his career high 16 game point streak.
Coupled with Edmonton’s 5-2 win in Regina, the Hitmen and Oil Kings are once again tied for first place in the WHL’s Eastern Conference. Edmonton has one game in hand as the end of the regular season draws near. The Hitmen have six games remaining, the Oil Kings seven.
