Calgary 9 Lethbridge 0

The Calgary Hitmen have now scored a combined 22 goals in their last three games following a 9-0 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes Friday night at Scotiabank Saddledome.

Brooks Macek collected his third career hat trick while Chris Driedger made 22 saves to pick up his fifth career shutout.

After a scoreless first period, the Hitmen took a 3-0 lead to the dressing room after 40 minutes before blowing the game wide open in the third period en-route to their third win in a row.

The line of Macek (3g), Jake Virtanen (1g 3a) and Victor Rask (1g 2a) combined for 10 points.  For Virtanen, his team leading four points was a career high.

Pavlo Padakin, Brady Brassart and Cody Sylvester also scored while Kenton Helgesen added a pair of assists.

The Hitmen will now host Red Deer Sunday at 4:00 p.m.  The Rebels have won five in a row, sitting seven points back of Calgary for third spot in the Eastern Conference Standings.
