Calgary 4 Prince Albert 3

Rookie forward Elliott Peterson broke a 3-3 third period tie with 7:25 remaining lifting the Calgary Hitmen to a 4-3 win over the Prince Albert Raiders Wednesday night at Art Hauser Centre.

Peterson scored a pair of goals to finish the game with a career high three points (2g 1a) in a first star performance.

Chase Clayton and Cody Sylvester both had a goal and an assist for the Hitmen who after opening the scoring in the first period erased a 3-1 second period deficit.

The win clinches home ice advantage for Calgary in the opening round of the Western Hockey League playoffs with a start date to be announced later this month.

Colby Harmsworth chipped in a pair of assists while Chris Driedger made 38 saves in a game where Prince Albert outshot Calgary 41-32.

Calgary, third in the Eastern Conference with 89 points, has now won two in a row to improve to 42-20-1-4.

Four of their remaining five regular season games are at Scotiabank Saddledome starting this weekend.

On Friday the Hitmen welcome Lethbridge for a 7pm start before hosting Red Deer Sunday at 4pm.  Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster locations as well as the Scotiabank Saddledome box office.  Order online at www.ticketmaster.ca or by phone at 1-855-985-5000.  For more information on tickets, visit www.hitmenhockey.com or contact customer service at 403-777-4646.
