Hitmen roster cut to 28 - September 6, 2011

Calgary Hitmen Pre-Season Roster (28 players)

Following a pair of pre-season games the Calgary Hitmen have trimmed their roster by nine players to 28.  One notable name not on the roster of remaining players still fighting for jobs is 18-year-old Brendan Santini who played 45 games with the Hitmen as a rookie last season picking up eight points (2g 6a).  It's fair to say Santini was a victim of the up and coming youth in the organization as there are still seven 17-year-old's with the club today.  Brendan represented the Hitmen well during his time with the club and I wish him the best of luck in whatever the future holds.  I remember his first community appearance involved signing autographs with Craig Conroy and Mikael Backlund of the Flames at a Rona store in the northeast.  I'm not sure who was more excited, the fans to meet Brendan or for Brendan to be sitting next to Craig and Mikael.  Stay classy Sants!
