Hitmen get bigger in trade with Portland

The Calgary Hitmen beefed up their line-up on Sunday acquiring 19-year-old forward Joe Mahon from the Portland Winter Hawks.

Mahon, is a 6'5" 233lbs, right winger who earned a spot on the Winterhawks last season after an invite to camp.

In exchange for the Calgary product, the Hitmen surrender a fourth round pick in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft and a conditional sixth round selection in 2015.

Mahon appeared in 41 regular season games plus an additional four playoff games for the WHL Champion Winterhawks.

His total numbers, 45 games (2g 1a) and 137 penalty minutes.
