The Calgary Hitmen have traded 18-year-old forward Austin Calladine to the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for a conditional 8th round pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.
Calladine made the Hitmen last season, collecting three points (1g 2a) in 33 regular season games.
The trade is a home coming for Calladine who is from Saskatoon.
From a Calgary perspective the deal leaves the Hitmen with 14 forwards, 15 if you count Brady Brassart who is still on an AHL tryout with the Syracuse Crunch.
One other note, Joe Mahon, who was acquired from Portland last weekend won't be in the Hitmen line-up on Saturday against Red Deer in the home opener.
The 19-year-old is still recovering from off season shoulder surgery, a recovery that's expected to keep him on the sidelines for at least another week.
