Royals 7 Hitmen 2

The Victoria Royals scored two goals 51 seconds apart late in the second period to erase a 2-1 deficit and never looked back in a 7-2 win over the Calgary Hitmen Tuesday night at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

Austin Carroll had a hat-trick to power the Royals who got singles from Alex Blomqvist, Logan Nelson, Braden Oleksyn and Logan Fisher.

Connor Rankin and Brady Brassart netted goals for Calgary.  For Brassart it was his 100th career regular season marker in the Western Hockey League.

Victoria outshot the Hitmen 46-26 to win the first half of back-to-back games between the two clubs.

The rematch goes tomorrow night in the BC capital as the Hitmen look for their first win on the road trip following an 0-2 start.
