Hitmen 3 Broncos 1

Brady Brassart and Jake Virtanen scored third period goals to break a 1-1 tie leading the Calgary Hitmen to a 3-1 win over the Swift Current Broncos Friday night at Credit Union iPlex.

Colby Harmsworth also scored for the Hitmen who have now won all three regular season meetings against Swift Current this season.

Calgary outshot the Broncos 40-23, including 9-3 in the third period, to improve to 14-7-1-3 good for fourth place in the Eastern Conference with 32 points.

Glenn Gawdin had the lone goal for Swift Current.
