Calgary 3 Victoria 1

The Calgary Hitmen extended their home ice winning streak to six games with a 3-1 win over the Victoria Royals Saturday night at Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Hitmen scored once in each period with captain Cody Sylvester leading the way with a pair of goals while Brady Brassart added a single.

Victoria broke Chris Driedger's shutout bid scoring on a 5-on-3 powerplay with just 2:35 remaining.  Driedger finished with 31 saves and was named the first star.

Calgary is now 38-17-1-3 while the Royals drop to 32-21-1-4.
